The appeal on behalf of the business community expresses concern that in connection with the introduction of marking, market entities will bear the burden of additional financial costs for the necessary equipment for compulsory marking.

According to Alexander Shokhin, “the amount of additional costs for individual entrepreneurs in the retail trade in consumer goods is estimated at 60 to 100 thousand rubles.”

The head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs suggests that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia provide for partial subsidizing of equipment costs, as well as “expanding the current program of concessional borrowing from the Industrial Development Fund for targeted purchases of equipment for consumer goods marking, and also provide for individual entrepreneurs to postpone the introduction of mandatory marking until January 1, 2022".
