Polesie Manufactures Masks And Overalls To Help Doctors
Our permanent exhibitor, a Belarus company Polesie, has temporarily redesigned its workshops for tailoring masks and protective suits for doctors.
When the management of the enterprise decided to make protective masks at the factory, the employees actively supported this initiative, and about 30 more women offered to sew masks at home. At the end of March, the Polesie sewing workshop started to produce personal protective equipment for the employees of the company, and in the first days of April, more than 14,000 masks were sewn and distributed among the employees.
The engineers of the factory’s design bureau have studied the experience of their colleagues and have designed a model of a medical protective shield for a 3D printer manufacture. The specialists have made several prototypes and started their trial production. The company plans to print more than 50 protective shields on 3D printers within a week; all of them will be donated to medical institutions in the city of Kobrin.
Petr Kivaka, Director of PP Polesie SOOO, proposed other enterprises of the region to join this production: "To fully meet the needs of doctors, it is necessary to increase production. We are ready to provide the already cut products, it'll be necessary just to sew them. We invite businesses and organisations in the region and the residents of our city to help us in tailoring personal protective equipment for doctors."
